Guide to Inverclyde
Inverclyde is located at the mouth of the River Clyde and is one of the smallest districts in the area with only seven towns. Although it maybe one of the smallest, this by no means that it falls short of amenities and things to do, it boasts some of the most scenic views in the area. The area has numerous parks and historical areas of interest, including Ardgowan Estate and Finlaystone House. Inverclyde has plenty to do for all the family with the Waterfront Leisure Complex located in Greenock offering swimming, ice-skating, gym and health suite. There are a number of high street and local shops.
Transport
Inverclyde has great transport links with main line train stations and excellent bus routes which link the towns and villages to Renfrewshire, Glasgow and Ayrshire.
Education
The area is served by 20 primary schools and 6 secondary schools. West College of Scotland have a campus in Greenock providing further education.
